Don is a student of the theories
of the late Col John R. Boyd, USAF. He has been involved in
a number of publications that use Boyd as a foundation for leader
development and personnel management:

He has
written three books, and the third one, "Manning the
Legions of the United States and Finding Tomorrow's
Centurians" had one of its chapters, chapter 6,
passed out by the Chief of Staff of the Army to all
two stars on recommendations of how to train and
develop leaders better.

February 2010 in the Washington Post.
Finally, Don has written
articles for a number of magazines. One article
appeared in the February 2008 issue of The Marine Corps
Gazette.
